Hart's Tongue

Rhizomes erect; scales few, brown. Stalks to about 15 cm long and with a dense covering of scales, not winged. Blade linear, entire, to about 50 cm long and 5 cm wide, slightly wavy-edged and 'eared' at the base. Sori linear between the midrib and margin, double; indusia paired.

Will tolerate cool conditions.

Europe.

Stalked fronds with 'eared' bases; indusia facing each other to give a paired sorus.
