Rhizome short; scales dark brown. Fronds tufted, arching, mostly 30-40 cm long with scales long-pointed and fringed. Blade divided once, narrowly ovate in outline, sometimes with plantlets. Segments sometimes stalked; margins toothed or lobed, lined; veins forked. Sori several on each segment and up to 1 cm long.
Needs shelter and warmth.
