Juniperus taxifolia var. lutchuensis (Koidz.) Satake

Lutchu Juniper

Prostrate resilient shrub that will trail over walls. Leaves all needle-like 1-1.5 mm long, pale green. Fruit globose 6-10 mm wide, brownish.

Similar to J. conferta but the foliage softer and more flexible, lacking any prickliness or grooving on upper leaf surface, sometimes appearing to have 2 bands because it has a prominent midrib.
