Swamp Cypress

A bushy shrub 2-3 m tall with erect branches. Leaves scale-like, to 1 cm long, pressed to the stem at the base, spreading at the tips, waxy blue at first, becoming prickly. Cones ovoid to globose about 1.5 cm wide with 6 similar woody scales. Seeds mostly 3-winged.
