Cyathea woollsiana (F.Muell.) Domin

Trunk thin, warty, fronds shed to leave smooth scars on the trunk. Fronds to over 2 m long, 2 or sometimes 3 times divided, waxy blue below. Stalks with dark brown warts at the base; scales woody at the base, the tips spiny. Sori in several pairs on each segment; indusium small, on side closest to the midrib.

Needs shelter and warmth.

Coastal NE Qld.

Fronds shiny above, waxy blue below; scales at the base of the frond stalk dark brown, woody and spiny.
