Prickly Tree Fern

Trunk to 5 m or more tall and 15 cm wide with frond bases persistent. Frond to 3 m long, divided 3 times, dark green. Stalk bases prickly, dark coloured, scales pale and narrow. Ultimate segments entire or with rounded teeth. Sori without an indusium.

Will tolerate cool conditions.
