Tigridia flammea

Leaves to 110 cm long, absent at flowering. Stem to 1 m tall with 2 reduced leaves and 1-4 terminal spathes about 6 cm long. Flowers 6-14, opening singly, pendent. Outer perianth segments forming a yellow-orange cup 2 cm deep, with dark spots at mouth; lobes about 4 cm long, deep red, ovate, coiling after flowering; spring to early summer. Style branches 3-4 mm long.
