Upside-down Fern

Rhizomes short-creeping. Fronds divided up to 4 times, thin and herbaceous, vivid green. Stalks densely covered with scales at the base. Sori in 2 rows on the ultimate segments at the base of the branches, dark coloured, kidney-shaped, to about 1.5 mm wide. Plants available under this name are often A. aristata. Can grow in cool areas.

Recognition: Thin membranous blades, the sori visible from above.
