Gomesa echinata (Barb.Rodr.) M.W.Chase & N.H.Williams

Medium sized epiphyte. Pseudobulbs to 8 cm long. Leaves elliptic to oblong, to 15 cm long, to 4 cm wide. Flowers to 2.5 cm wide; spring. Sepals and petals similar, elliptic, mostly yellow with some brownish bands. Labellum side lobes bright yellow, midlobe maroon. Syn. Oncidium echinatum (Barb. Rodr.) Cogn.
