Rhynchostele rossii (Lindl.) Soto Arenas & Salazar

Small epiphyte. Pseudobulbs ovoid, to 6 cm long. Leaves solitary, elliptic, to 20 cm long, to 3 cm wide. Flowers 1?4, to 6 cm wide; spring. Sepals and petals similar, oblong to lanceolate, petals shorter and broader than sepals, white, yellow or pink with reddish-brown blotches or spots. Labellum almost round, entire, shortclawed, margins wavy, white or pink. Syn. Odontoglossum rossii Lindl.

Mexico and C America.

L. stellatum (Lindl.) Halb. from Mexico and C America is a small epiphyte with ovoid 1-leaved pseudobulbs and 1- or 2 flowered racemes of yellowish, brownbarred flowers with an almost circular labellum with toothed or cut margins. Syn. Odontoglossum stellatum Lindl.
