Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Gold Star'

Compact shrub to 1.5 m tall, 1 m wide. Leaves intense golden yellow in the centre, mature leaves to 15 mm long, 10 mm wide, with a gold and green central zone, the midrib yellow and creamy white, margins wavy, with an irregular green zone. Arose as a seedling of p. 'Garnettii' with other parent possibly 'Eila Keightley' growing nearby. Originated in Midland Horticulture's Nsy, Palmerston North, New Zealand, c. 1987.
