Shrub to 4 m tall. Leaves oblong, to about 3 cm long. Flower clusters spidery; year round but mainly winter and spring. Flowers red. Probably a hybrid, g. juniperina _ g. victoriae (red-flowered), produced in 1952. Widely available and popular in the usa.
