Shrub to about 2 m tall. Leaves densely arranged, grey, narrowly oblong, to about 1.5 cm long, pointed. Flower clusters mostly terminal, winter and spring. Flowers reddish pink with a cream tip. Hand-pollinated hybrid, g. lanigera (Snowy River form) _ g. lavandulacea var. lavandulacea (Victor Harbour, sa, form). Raised by Bill Cane at Clearview Nsy,Maffra,Vic, in the late 1940s and named by Jean Galbraith, Victorian author and naturalist. 'Crosbie Morrison' also arose from this cross.
