Magnolia ×soulangeana 'Alexandrina'

Upright, tall shrub. Flowers large, appearing with the leaves, perianth segments 9 to 5 cm wide, darker pink at the base, most of the lower part streaked with purple lines, inside pure white. Raised c. 1825 by Cels of Montrouge, France. Literature?Gaylon (1990).
