Herb with ovoid bulbs. Leaves 2-3, linear, stem-sheathing, shorter than stem. Inflorescence 8-50 cm, stem solid, spathes 2, beaked. Flowers 9-60, 4.5-5 mm long, bell-shaped; summer. Tepals lemon-yellow, lobes spreading. Stamens longer than tepals.

Central Europe to western Asia.
