Polystichum triangulum (L.) Fée

Fronds divided once. Blades narrow, more or less linear in outline. Stalks with scales soon shed. Segments irregularly 4-sided to almost triangular, rigid and leathery, spiny-toothed. Needs shelter and warmth.

Recognition: Fronds divided once and with irregularly 4-sided, spiny segments.
