Puya mirabilis (Mez) L.B. Sm.

Stemless, loose leaf rosette. Leaves to 60 cm long, 1.5 cm wide, linear, longpointed, margins finely toothed, green or loosely grey scaled in the lower half above. Inflorescence a simple raceme on an upright scape to 1 m high. Flowers loosely arranged, 10 cm long, green or yellowish-green.

Argentina, Bolivia

An easily grown species, popular because of its softer, grass-like foliage, small size and short time to flowering.

A useful species for edging or filling between other larger plants.
