Moraea lewisiae (Goldblatt) Goldblatt

Leaves 1-3, lax, to 80 cm long, 5 mm wide. Stem to 60 cm tall. Flowers in clusters of 4-5, bright yellow with small dark dots near centre; spring. Perianth segments 20-25 mm long, blunt. Syn. Moraea lewisiae (Goldblatt) Goldblatt.

Cape Province.

H. virgata (Jacq.) Sweet is a similar plant with smaller flowers marked with green veins.
