Stoloniferous herb sometimes taking root. Leaves in clusters, floating, about 6 cm wide, elliptic-ovate, cordate, the stalks long and almost transparent. Flowers 1-several at the nodes, showy, about 5 cm wide, yellow, long stalked; summer. Syn. Limnocharis humboldtii Rich.
Tropical S America. Naturalised on a few farm dams and slow moving rivers in Victoria.
