Palm Grass

Perennial grass with flowering stems to nearly 2 m tall. Leaves with blades pleated and palm-like, to about 70 cm long and 12 cm wide, narrowed to the base. Inflorescence an open panicle to 40 cm or so long, the branches spreading 20 cm or more; winter to spring. Spikelet bristles solitary and inconspicuous.
