Typha domingensis Pers.

Narrow-leaved Cumbungi

Stems to 3 m tall. Leaves with blades to 2 m long, 0.5-1.5 cm wide. Male and female cluster segments usually separated by 2-5.5 cm of stem. Male head 15-35 cm long, 0.5-1 cm wide. Female head 12-40 cm long, 0.5-2 cm wide (6-20 times longer than wide), orange-brown.

Naturalised on Lord Howe Island.
