Pollia macrophylla (R.Br.) Benth.

Perennial herb, erect stems from a short rhizome. Leaves lanceolate to ovatelanceolate, 10-20 cm. Inflorescence terminal, paniculate; Sept.-May. Sepals white. Petals white or rarely blue. Stamens 3, sterile stamens 3. Fruit ovoid, blue.

Eastern Australia

A plant of rainforest floors and margins, often along creeks, sometimes grown in moist shady gardens.
