Neoregelia marmorata (Baker) L.B.Sm.

Leaves in a dense, broad, funnel-like rosette 20-60 cm long, 8 cm wide, ligulate, broadly rounded, notched, green or more or less purple spotted, with large dark red spot at tip, marginal spines 1 mm long; sheaths large, broadly elliptic, dark purple with green spots. Inflorescence deep in rosette, many-flowered. Flowers 35 mm long with flower stalk to 15 mm long; sepals green; petals white.
