Fascicularia bicolor (Ruiz & Pav.) Mez

Plant forming a spreading rosette. Leaves to 50 cm long, 1-5 cm wide, waxy green, sharply spine tipped, margins with basal spines recurved, the others pointing forward. Inflorescence many-flowered, dense, surrounded by bright red inner leaves of the rosette; petals blue.
