Dyckia marnier-lapostollei L.B. Sm.

Plant flowering to 50 cm high. Leaves 10 in a spreading rosette, 12 cm long, 4 cm wide, densely pale scaled on both sides creating a silvery appearance; margins with prominent, dense, curved spines. Scape erect, slender, with small bracts. Inflorescence simple, lax, few-flowered, to 19 cm long. Flowers hardly stalked; petals 12 mm long, rhombic, hooded; stamens equalling the petals.
