Slender Lady Palm

Clumps dense, spreading. Stems to 4 m tall, densely fibrous, leafy to the base. Leaves with 10-18 spreading to drooping, divergent, bright green leaflets.

Excellent screening palm but also used in tubs and for indoor decoration.Will tolerate considerable sun. Very hardy once established. Propagated only by division.

 

R. multifida Burret, Finger Palm from China has stems to 2 m tall. Leaves with 5-12 narrow, stiffly spreading, bright green leaflets. Recently introduced and becoming popular. Decorative small palm which grows well indoors.
