Chamaedorea radicalis Mart.

Trunk solitary, dwarf or 3 m tall. Leaves feather-shaped, usually erect and spreading, dark green. Leaflets narrow, widely spaced. Inflorescences arising near to ground level. Fruit about 1 cm across, globose, orange to red.

A very cold-hardy species.

Grows readily in a shady situation.
