Lily of the Valley

Perennial herb to 25 cm high from a thin rhizome. Leaves ovate-elliptical, annual. Flowers several to numerous, bell-shaped to almost spherical, to 11 mm wide; summer. Tepals white or pinkish. Grown as a cool moist or sheltered garden ornamental in shade, but tends not to flower well in very low light.

Temperate Northern Hemisphere.
