T. grandiflora Lindl. from western North America is a perennial herb to about 70 cm. Leaves several, basal, linear. Inflorescence several-flowered. Flowers funnel-shaped, erect to spreading; individual flower stalks shorter than the flowers; summer.Tepals to 30 mm long, blue to white; tube equalling or exceeding lobes. Stamens 3+3. Ovary longer than its stalk. Fruit many-seeded.

T. ×tubergenii Lenz, Garden Origin is a perennial herb to about 60 cm. Leaves several, basal, linear. Inflorescence several-flowered. Flowers funnel-shaped, erect to spreading, individual flower stalks usually more than twice flower length; summer. Tepals to about 35 mm long, white, bluish or purplish; tube slightly shorter than lobes. Stamens 3+3. Ovary longer than its stalk. Fruit many-seeded. [Brodiaea ×tubergenii hort.] A spontaneous garden hybrid between T. laxa and T. peduncularis. Sometimes cultivated as a spring-flowering bulb on well-drained soil.
