Perennial herb to about 60 cm. Leaves 2-3, basal, linear. Inflorescence manyflowered. Flowers star-shaped, spreading; spring. Tepals to 12 mm long, narrow, bright yellow with a red stripe. Each stamen filament expanded basally to form a toothed cup. Fruit many-seeded.
