Perennial herb to about 60 cm. Leaves 2-3, basal, linear. Inflorescence up to 12-flowered. Flowers bell-shaped, drooping; spring.Tepals to 20 mm long, bright red with green keels outside, mostly white inside; stamen filaments red, crown white, anthers grey-blue. Fruit many-seeded.
