Angel's Tears

Bulb dark-coloured, 1-2 cm wide. Leaves about 25 cm long, rush-like, dark green. Flower clusters 1-6 per cluster, pale yellow to white; spring. Flowers with cuplike corona, white or yellow. Perianth tube 1-2 cm long with lobes to 2.5 cm long; corona to 2.5 cm long with wavy margins; stamens protruding.

A variable species very closely related to N. concolor Link [N. pallidulus Graells] which has solitary bright yellow flowers and N. triandrus var. triandrus which has perianth lobes a darker yellow than the corona.
