Golden Hurricane Lily

Bulb ovoid, about 5-6 cm wide. Leaves to over 0.5 m long, about 1.5 cm wide, succulent and waxy blue, appearing after the flowers. Spathes lanceolate. Flower cluster of 5-6 erect flowers; spring to summer. Perianth about 10 cm long, yellow, the tube 1.5-2 cm long, the lobes slightly bent back and with margins that are slightly wavy-edged. Stamens slightly protruding from flower.

L. incarnata Sprenger, L. radiata (L'He´r.) A.D. Herb., Spider Lily, L. squamigera Maxim., Magic Lily (Resurrection Lily) are also sometimes offered.
