Hymenocallis ×festalis (Worsley) Schmarse

Bulb neck generally to about 5 cm long. Leaves mostly about 10 to about 80 cm long, 6 cm wide, deciduous, the bases forming a pseudostem. Flowers generally about 4, white, fragrant; stalk to over 1 m long. Perianth lobes 10 cm or so long, the outer ones narrower. Corona about 5 cm long. Free part of stamens 3-4 cm long, the upper 3 stamens bent down. [Ismene festalis Worsley]

Garden Origin

A hybrid between H. narcissiflora and H. longipetala.

 

H. harrisiana is occasionally offered.
