Bulbs mostly 1-2.5 cm wide. Leaves 2, linear, to about 10 cm long and 5 mm wide, appearing with the flowers, waxy blue, the tip blunt and not hooded. Flowers about 2.5 cm wide, the inner lobes with green spots at the tip; early spring.
