Garland Lily

Herbaceous perennial with bulbs 2-4 cm wide. Leaves to 60 cm long, about 1-1.5 cm wide. Flower cluster umbels of 12-25 flowers, the main stalk to 45 cm long. Flowers with individual flower stalks to 3.5 cm long. Perianth pink or purple, rarely all white or pink with yellow base, the floral tube 4-8 mm long and the lobes 1-1.5 cm long. Corona 5-8 mm long. Fruit a capsule 0.5-1 cm wide.

C. luteum Sims,Yellow Garland Lily from SA, Qld, NSW has similar but yellow flowers. A bicoloured form with purple and yellow flowers is available.
