Intergeneric hybrids between Amaryllis belladona and various Brunsvigia species (but see under ×Amarygia parkeri).
Development of many magnificent vigorous cultivars in these hybrid groups took place initially in Australia, though much information is now lost about them. Many of the older varieties could be expected to persist on old properties in southern and south-eastern Australia, and they should be conserved and researched as a significant element of the Australian horticultural heritage.
The other intergeneric hybrids ×Amarcrinum and ×Amarine may also be encountered.
