Giant Garlic

Herb with ovoid bulbs. Leaves 2-5, stem-sheathing, flat, channelled, solid, shorter than inflorescence. Inflorescence 25-80 cm, stem terete, spathes 1. Flowers few-many, bulbils sometimes present, 4-7 mm long, cup-shaped, keeled, papillate; summer.Tepals reddish-purple. Stamens shorter than tepals.

Europe.

Two subspecies naturalised in the Adelaide region of South Australia.
