Rosette herb with thickened roots from short rhizomes. Inflorescence to 60 cm, unbranched, exceeding leaves. Leaves linear, grass-like, sheathing. Flowers numerous, trumpet-like, 3-5 cm long, stalks not articulated; summer.Tepals white with an apical green spot.

S Europe.

Sometimes grown in cool gardens as an ornamental.
