Tricoryne elatior R.Br.

Clump-forming herb to 1 m from a short rhizome. Stems erect, dichotomously branched, terete. Leaves linear, reduced or scale-like on upper branches. Inflorescence a condensed cyme. Flowers numerous, erect, to 25 mm wide. Tepals bright yellow. Anthers bright yellow. Flowers most of the year.

Australia wide.

An extremely variable species, sometimes grown as a decorative garden ornamental in full sun on well drained sandy soils.
