Leaves 3-6, all basal, 10-30 cm long, 2-5 mm wide, 4 winged in section and finely hairy on edges. Flowers pale yellow, 3-4 cm wide, on stalks 4-20 cm long; spring. Perianth segments 12-25 mm, elliptic, acute. Anthers yellow, 3-5 mm.
