Leaves 16-50 cm long. Panicle 30-60 cm tall; late spring. Spathes in groups, some sessile and others on stalks to 4 cm, each 3-7 flowered. Perianth segments joined, 12-20 mm long, obtuse, sky blue. Stamens joined.
