Moraea loubseri Goldblatt

Leaf 2-3 mm wide, pubescent on back. Stem 20-30 cm tall, usually 1 branched. Flowers 2, blue-violet with a black pubescent centre; early spring. Outer segments 20-24 mm long, 14-20 mm wide with deep blue signals and bases covered with black hairs; inner segments 15-20 mm long, with 2 short lateral lobes and a long central cusp. Style branches 6 mm long, crests triangular.
