Alaskan Iris

Rhizome thick. Leaves sword-shaped, 35-65 cm tall. Stem 60-110 cm long, 1-3 branched. Spathes 2-4 cm long, green. Flowers 1-2, violet, 7-8 cm wide; late spring. Falls obovate, 4 cm long, beardless; claw yellow with purple streaks. Standards 1.5 cm long, narrow lanceolate. Style branches flat, blunt, 3 cm long.
