Iris reticulata M.Bieb.

Bulb. Leaves 4-angled, emerging before flowers. Spathes green. Flower solitary, 5-6 cm wide, blue-violet, fragrant; early spring. Perianth tube 5-8 cm long, sheathed by two leaves. Falls 4-5 cm long with gold crest. Standards 4-5 cm.
