Waterfall Gladiolus

Perennial herb to 1 m tall, dormant in winter. Leaves 40-50 cm long. Spike arched or down-curved with 5-10 flowers in one row. Spathe lance-shaped, 4-8 cm long. Perianth turned upwards, scarlet; tube twisted, 3-4 cm long; segments acute, the lower 3 narrower with a white central stripe; summer. Anthers 10-14 mm, cream.
