Freesia alba (G.L.Meyer) Gumbleton

Flowers 3-7, erect, strongly sweet-scented. Perianth white, often flushed purple externally; tube 2-4 cm long; segments equal, 15-18 mm long, spreading, the lowermost sometimes with a yellow line; spring. Syn. F. lactea Klatt.
