Dierama pendulum (L.f.) Baker

Leaves to 1 m long, 4-8 mm wide. Stems to 1.7 m long. Spathes oblanceolate, 18-30 mm long. Perianth 28-50 mm long, campanulate, pink to purple; tube 9-13 mm, lobes 22-32 mm with spreading tips; late spring. Anthers 8-9 mm long.

S and E Cape, S Africa.

D. igneum Klatt, with smaller flowers, may also be in cultivation under this name.
