Crocus niveus Bowles

Leaves 1-2 mm wide, emerging with flowers. Perianth goblet-shaped, white to pale lilac with deep yellow throat; segments 4-6 cm long, obovate, obtuse, unmarked; tube 9-17 cm long; autumn. Anthers yellow. Style branches 3 (but sometimes secondarily branched), orange-red.

C. hadriaticus Herb from S Greece and Cyclades has leaves 1-2 mm wide, emerging with flowers. Perianth star-shaped, white with yellow pubescent throat; segments 2-4.5 cm long, ovate-lanceolate, acute; tube 3-12 cm long, white; autumn. Anthers yellow. Style branches 3, orange.
