Babiana nana (Andrews) Spreng

Stem erect, 3-10 cm tall. Leaves 5-7, oblong, abruptly contracted at tip, to 20 cm long, 10-20 mm wide. Flowers 2-6 in a crowded spike, fragrant; spring. Spathe oval, 16-30 cm long, green, densely hairy. Bracteoles fully united. Perianth tube about 15 mm long; segments equal, blue to mauve, the lower lateral segments with a yellow or white patch.
